About Dean Cheesman

Hi, I'm Dean Cheesman (just like Chess-man), and I find my playground at the intersection of technology, creativity, and interactive art.

From Provo, Utah, I spend my days (and quite a few nights) tinkering away in the world of interactive installations, custom lighting, motion graphics, data visualization, and generative art. Each project is a new challenge, a puzzle waiting to be solved with a dash of creativity and a heavy dose of technical expertise.

My work has been seen far and wide, from the web to TV, and from stadiums to Times Square. I've been fortunate to create for big names like The Utah Jazz, The Seattle Seahawks, Dreamscapes, and WGU, but I've also loved crafting bespoke lighting fixtures for indie bands like The National Parks and Madam Bandit.

Beyond the tech, Iā€™m passionate about the local music scene in Provo, Utah. In fact, I organize a yearly music festival called Buzzards & Bees, which features over 70 bands across 10+ venues.

I'm all ears if you want to chat about a potential project, talk tech, or discuss the latest in indie music. Let's connect!
