I haven’t written about iTunes Smart Playlists for a while, but I still use them on a daily basis. The newest version of iTunes seems to have left out the Podcast option from it’s Smart Playlist features.
To get around this I did the following:
- Selected all my podcast feeds
- Went to “Get Info” (cmd+I)
- Changed the genre to “Podcast”
- Created a new smart playlist with a filter for the Podcast Genre and named it “Podcasts”
- Replaced the old Podcast filter in my existing smart playlists with this new playlist
